Filmfest Hamburg's First Films
Filmfest Hamburg is delighted at this early stage to announce some of the top-notch films on the programme of its 22nd edition (25 September - 4 October 2014).
The winner of the Golden Palm at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s “Winter Sleep”(Turkey) will celebrate its German premiere in Hamburg this autumn.
Also “Party Girl” by the trio of French directors Marie Amachoukeli, Claire Burger and Samuel Theis (Caméra d’Or for best debut) and “White God” by Hungaria helmer Kornel Mundruczo (winner of Un Certain Regard and the prestigious Palm Dog Award) will both feature in the programme at this year’s Filmfest Hamburg.
Also programmed at Filmfest Hamburg: the Ukrainian film“The Tribe” by Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy (winner of the main awards of Critics’ Week) - an unusual cinematic work which attracted a significant amount of attention in Cannes.
