“To be a hero, one must take the road and leave home,” says Gökdemir İhsan. This fairy tale tells the story of a hero´s journey, meetings with friends, and enemies on this journey, overcoming the obstacles, tough and scary struggles, and acquiring wisdom. Perhaps just like Joseph Campbell points out, this is the journey of all humanity. Anatolian Tales tells the story of searching the wisdom of an ancient narrative, fairy tale and its form, with the guidance of storytellers, experts, and academicians, based on a collage tale composed from hundreds of years old anonymous fairy tales.
