Adolf Körner was born on January 1, 1902 in Czechoslovakia. He worked at Luci Studios in Italy for a while. He came to Turkey at the request of Halil Kamil, the owner of Ha-Ka Film.
A revue actor, Körner started directing by adapting Reşat Nuri Güntekin's play Hülleci to the cinema with the name of Veilless Gelin (1942), with the help of Refik Kemal Arduman. Afterwards, he directed Kerem and Aslı (1942) and Sürtük (1942), based on Mahmut Yesari's play of the same name. In the last years of his life, he worked as a box office clerk at the Alhambra Cinema.

He became a director upon Halil Kamil's proposal. He adapted Reşat Nuri Güntekin's novel "Hülleci" to the cinema under the title "Bride Without Veil". After this movie, in which famous actors of the period such as Halide Pişkin, Naşit Özcan, Vedat Karaokçu, Şevkiye May, Hüseyin Kemal and Reşit Baran starred, Körner directed “Kerem ile Aslı”. In this movie of Körner, the lead role was played by Müzeyyen Senar. His third and final film, "Sürtük", has become a melodrama that will be similar for years in Turkish cinema. Korner continued his later life as a box office clerk at the Alhambra Cinema.
