The architect of Atatürk Cultural Centre, which will be meeting with lovers of art with its recently renewed building, Murat Tabanlıoğlu will be curating an exhibition that follows AKM’s past and present. The AKM exhibition features models showing the past and present versions of the structure, supporting archives, information on the architectural and constructional processes, as well as the records of past performances. In the exhibition will be shown the common and diverse features of the old AKM building, which had served from the day it was established as a meeting point as well as a place to follow the latest artistic events for all the lovers of art living in İstanbul, and the new structure that has been equipped with world-class technological means. The building, which was rebuilt by preserving the former interior and exterior architectural features, will continue to retain its function as a meeting point in the years to come by means of this exhibition.
