Drawing on pop imagery, bright colors, and digital tools, Batibeki creates scenes in which women subjects are portrayed as dominant and powerful forces. Batibeki references pulp fiction, detective stories, and murder mysteries in these works, which are consequently infused with dark undertones, her characters brandishing weapons or chasing one another.
