During our years at the Architectural Division of Fine Arts School DGSA (Now Mimar Sinan University) We did not walk to school shoe-less in snow for hours. Yet we lacked tools to do a good job as students.
AutoCad shadow study or a solar app was out of question. Sometimes I made a simple box model and tried to determine shadows. Seeing that there was a need in this particular area I created a document showing solar angles for Istanbul, Turkey and shared it with classmates by making blueprints at Necdet Ozalit across the street.
